  82. This package contains the HAC Glossary For the Latest in Computer
  83. Terminology, (Version 1.00), by Langin Software.

  85. If you've ever wished you could keep up on the latest computer
  86. terminology, which changes monthly, then the HAC Glossary is
  87. for you.  Use the SETUP program to install the HAC Glossary to
  88. Windows.

  90. The HAC Glossary is a shareware program.  This evaluation version
  91. includes all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.
  92. You may use it for up to 30 days, without charge.  If you like the
  93. program, and wish to continue its use after this evaluation period, you
  94. are required to pay for the program.  Any fee you may have paid to
  95. others (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version
  96. was a fee for their copying and distribution services, rather than a

  118. ===== Installation =====================================

  120. The installation procedure for the HAC Glossary is quite simple.  The
  121. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  122. entire process.  You will need about 500K of available disk space
  123. on the hard drive on which you plan to install the HAC Glossary.
  124.  
  125. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  126. the HAC Glossary.

  129. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  130.  
  131. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  132.  
  133.    o  Place the HAC Glossary distribution diskette in the
  134.       appropriate diskette drive.
  135.  
  136.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  137.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  138.       the MS-DOS command, "a:win setup".
  139.  
  140.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  141.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  142.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  143.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  144.       the HAC Glossary files to that directory.  If you so direct
  145.       it, the installation program will install executable programs and
  146.       documentation in other directories of your choice.  It will make
  147.       no other changes; specifically, it will not modify your
  148.       autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  151. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE

  153. If you downloaded the HAC Glossary from a BBS (or received it in the
  154. form of archive files from some other source), you will need to perform
  155. the following steps.

  157.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  158.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  159.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  160.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  161.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  162.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  163.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  164.       the package.

  166.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  167.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  168.       the HAC Glossary package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the
